Things I want to remember about David at 5:
He is ALWAYS "starving." Never hungry! It always seems to be an emergency when he gets hungry! haha
An example of his "intuitive eating" was last week when he said, "Mom, I had 4 spoons of frosting instead of 1 but that's okay because that's what my tummy said to do!"
When he is thirsty, it is an EMERGENCY! He ALWAYS asks for water the second we get in the car. If I forget he screams, "BUT I CAN'T HOLD IT!!!!" I didn't know "holding your thirst" was a thing! haha

He says "tink tonk" for "tank top" and "marine bajoligist" for "marine biologist" and I can't bring myself to correct him! haha
HE LOVES DANCING! Kate and David dance just about every day together. His preschool teacher and workers at the Kids Club at Lifetime even comment on his dancing! haha
He came full circle this year with super heroes. He started FOUR off with a Batman party, then was obsessed with Jurassic World for a good part of the year, and is now back to being obsessed with super heroes. This is his third super hero party in a row! (He did Avengers this year, which is what he did for his third birthday party also).
He is soooo nice to Kate and they are starting to become little buddies since they are both home together during the day. The Kids Club workers at Lifetime always tell me how nice he is to her and how he takes care of her the entire time I'm gone :)

His worst habit that DRIVES ME CRAZY is that he hocks loogies ALL THE TIME. In the car, at dinner, at the park with friends, everywhere! GAAAAAHHH!!! I don't know how to get him to stop - I've told him it's bad manners and to clear his throat more quietly, but he says nothing else works so any tips would be appreciated!!!! haha
He falls asleep in our bed almost every night - he always has been our most disfunctional sleeper! He is the last of our kids to wake up in the morning though.
He's my home body. He prefers being at home more than almost anywhere else. When he goes places, he prefers Jack to be with him. The older he gets, the more we are thinking he is an introvert.

He's ALL BOY, but I love that he loves playing "family" with his girlfriends at school.
He is still a daddy's boy. It's no secret that Spencer's his favorite, which I'm totally cool with because that mostly just means he prefers Spencer to do everything for him! haha
He is naturally coordinated - he loves riding his bike, doing flips on the trampoline, swimming, and doing cool dance moves.
He tells me he loves me ALL THE TIME. He randomly will say, "MOM!" Then I say, "What?" and he'll shout, "I LOVE YOU!"

Close ups of his poster :)
The day of his birthday, we went to the mall to spend his birthday gift card from my parents at the Disney Store. He opened the store and left with a birthday pin, a birthday hat, stickers, valentines, coloring pages, (all free) and his new spidey hands birthday toy, too :)
He got a Wetzel Pretzel for lunch then he redeemed a few birthday freebies - a cupcake from The Sweet Tooth Fairy and a drink from the Soda Shop.
I had a work meeting for an hour in the afternoon so Kate and David played at a neighbors house and then we played at the park for a bit - Kate got hot and wanted to take her long sleeved shirt off! haha
When Jack got home from school and Spencer got home from work, we had a pizza picnic in the backyard then went to the mall to play with puppies at the puppy store - it was a flop! haha The kids were all talk and ended up being scared of all of the dogs they chose to play with! haha
We redeemed a few more birthday freebies at the mall then went back home to open presents! David got a Captain America t-shirt from Jack, a pack of gum from Kate, a snow cone maker from me and Spencer, a Jurassic World toy from my parents, and birthday money from my grandparents and father-in-law. He had such an awesome day and it was so fun to spoil him :)
(I think Kate looks like an old grandma in this pic! haha)
The next day, David had his birthday party. Our neighbor makes amazing cupcakes and cakes and when I asked him if he wanted her to make Avenger cupcakes for him, he said that he wanted the blue frosting with fish sprinkles from Walmart. Why would I ever use Pinterest when my child is 100 percent satisfied with ugly blue fish Avenger cupcakes! haha
I scored a bunch of Avenger fidget spinners from Target originally 7 bucks on clearance for 50 cents. They made awesome party favors!
Pizza, cupcakes, playing in the back yard - fun and simple.
Can't wait to see experience "FIVE" with David - we sure love him!
