Alabama takes their snow days very seriously. It was supposed to rain and since the temperature was around 35 degrees, they took special precaution and most school districts canceled school. It's a good thing they canceled school because we almost got snowed out at the zoo. Not! This is what the skies looked like all day long:
Even though it was almost freezing, we went to the zoo in the morning to see Jack's favorite - the monkeys and the giant otters. Thanks to the "snow day," we were the only ones there.
This was our attempted to get a picture with the tiger:After Jack's nap we went swimming at Lifetime, Jack's other favorite thing to do. I wish I could tell you that those toes are not Jack's but that would be a lie...
Turns out nobody goes swimming on "snow days" either.
We had Jack's new favorite food (pizza) for dinner and cake, which he had no interest in after the candles were blown out.
I love my two year old!
Today is my little girl's birthday, and we are having a pretty anti-pinterest day as well. It's a good thing going down the slide at the park a million times is the coolest thing ever to a two year old. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteI can't believe he is already two! Such a handsome boy!
ReplyDeleteP.S. You hide your pregnant belly too well. I keep hoping to see some baby in these pictures!!!
Haha! Love how you specifically mentioned it being 'non-pinterest.' I'm curious to know just how bored you were when you decided to paint Jack's toenails...
