Christmas

On Christmas Eve, my entire family drove from Oceanside to our house to spend Christmas together! I never thought we would all sleep under the same roof again on Christmas Eve but we did and it was magical, chaotic, and so fun!e

When your in-laws dress you up as a Christmas Elf and spend the night on Christmas:
(hahaha!)

Traditional Christmas Jamies, Italian food, and dance party!
For Christmas this year, Kate got her "makeup thing like Finley" and a bouncy ball, and the boys got bakugans and scooters.
It was cold and rainy on Christmas and for a few days after!
I loved my Christmas cards from Jack and David :)

Disneyland!

For Christmas, my parents gifted us a day at Disneyland, which was the best gift ever! We had so much fun!!! We were a little nervous going into the day because the forecast said it was going to rain all day long! The morning of, we woke up to torrential downpour! It was raining pretty bad the first 30 minutes of park opening but after that it hardly rained at all! It was just enough to scare away the crowds but not too much to make it miserable! (It has rained every time we've been to Disneyland in the last decade so we've gotten pretty good at it by now! haha)
Rain suit, Minnie, and Minnie Ears - she was good to go!

First stop was Peter Pan and then we rode most of the Fantasyland rides without any lines! (Spencer and the boys went to Matterhorn after a few of the little rides :)

Kate loved it :)

Casey Jr:

When it's been so long since you've been on Space Mountain that you forget when they take the picture... haha

David's favorite Disney treat!

Kate loved Winnie the Pooh!

When we got off the ride, Santa was right at the exit with no line at all!

Max loved Santa :)

Rider swap cuties :)

I love this picture with Kate and my dad, even though it's blurry :)

Kate fell asleep on our way to Galaxy Edge (perfect timing!) and while we all took turns riding single rider on the Millennium Falcon Ride so we didn't have to wait in the long line. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but Galaxy Edge was pretty amazing!

David riding the Millennium Falcon!

Calvin got to celebrate his birthday at Disneyland!

(Also, this outfit has been my rainy day Disneyland staple since we first went when it rained on us in 2010! I can't believe these cheap Target rain boots have held out for so long and that they don't give me blisters while walking miles around Disneyland! haha)

It started sprinkling right before the parade started so they canceled it :( We got to see Mickey's Rainy Day Cavalcade instead which was better than nothing!

Mickey and the Magical Map is such a cute show and I'm so glad we got to see it!

My favorite ride at Disneyland :)

Thankfully, Fantasmic wasn't cancelled and we still got to see it! It's my favorite!!!
The boys slept from Fantasmic all the way to the car and then all the way back to James and Maddie's apartment. We had such a fun and magical time and I'm so grateful that we got to go!

Oceanside

The weekend before Christmas, we headed to California for my cousin's wedding. We stayed with my brother and his family in Oceanside and my parents and Isaac and Elizabeth met there too! It was a full two bedroom apartment and we had so much fun! (The weeks leading up to this weekend were a little insane - we were prepping to leave town, to get Christmas completely ready, to get our house cleaned and ready to host, and to get Jack's baptism ready. Four big events happening in 12 days!) We were so happy the prepping was done and to finally be doing the "fun stuff." :)
All three kids passed out for two hours on the drive to Oceanside!

Taco Bell pit stop

Our kids woke up bright and early and before everyone else on Saturday morning. We went to Oceanside Harbor for a bit to see the sea lions and share a yummy coffee cake at one of the shops!

I sure love this early morning crew!

While my parents went to the sealing, we headed to La Jolla to see the seals and tide pools!

The reception that evening was beautiful. Our kids had so much fun!

I'm not sure what happened in this progression of photos! haha

On Sunday, we went to church, walked on the pier, and celebrated Calvin's birthday!
Gorgeous views!!!
Happy birthday, Calvin!!
