Things I'm Loving

• River Bandit games! Our stake all went to the game on Friday night and it was a blast, as always! 

 

The ferris wheel is always our favorite part
 
 

• The Bettendorf library! It was our first time going but they had fish and these cute little carts to put your books in so Jack and David were sold.

 

• The Rib Fest! Spencer has been counting down the days for this event since we went last year. Rib vendors come from all over the country and you can buy "teasers" of them all. We tried ribs from vendors in South Carolina, Texas, and Arkansas. Texas BBQ for the win!

 Jack had no interest in award winning ribs, just the cornbread.
 
 And then the best thing ever happened. We took this picture, posted it on FB and shamelessly asked for "likes" because the most likes won, and we actually won! $500 total in gift cards to local restaurants, spas, a cabin stay, and a years membership to the Family Museum. So thank you, if you "liked" it, and thank you, Quad Cities Area Locals Love Us :)

• Enjoying as many summer BBQs as possible. I think I could eat a hamburger, watermelon, and chips every week for the rest of my life and never get sick of it.

 

If you can't tell, David is a total daddy's boy :)
 

• The fact that the groundhog is nowhere to be found but still providing Jack and David hours of entertainment! They find the berries that fall from our trees and throw it by his hole to "feed" him :)

• Snuggle time with Jack during David's nap time. How do I get anything done when my three-year-old boy asks, "Mom, will you just stop and snuggle wiss me?!" Can't say no to that!
