Family Beach Trip: Part 1

We left California on Saturday after a fun week at the beach with my family!

We drove to California on a Saturday and went straight to Sea World to take advantage of our seasons passes. We did almost all of the shows that evening and the weather was amazing!

Waiting for the Sesame Street Parade :)

They have Dole Whip that tastes exactly like Disneyland's but it just didn't FEEL like Disneyland's if that makes sense ;)

Spencer has been raving about the Cirque Electrique show since we were dating (he went when he was a kid) and I thought it wasn't going to live up to the hype but it totally did! It was so amazing!!!

The sunset was amazing that night!

View from Oceanside where my family was.

The next couple of days we hit the beach! On Monday I had a 5:15 wake up call from Jack wanting to walk on the beach. He's the best shell and crab hunter around!

Kate's favorite part of the "beach" was the pool and hot tub! She claimed she was a "pink" mermaid and assigned me the role of a "blue" mermaid. By the end of the trip, we really were starting to believe she was an actual mermaid! She is quite the swimmer!

On Tuesday, we went back to Sea World first thing in the morning to do the rides that were way too long on Saturday evening.

Jack was so brave and did all of the big rides twice with rider switch!

Kate was a trooper hanging out all morning while we did rides - she wasn't big enough for any of them and was sooo over it by early afternoon!
"Buy dis mom?!"

She is by far my clingiest baby and toddler!

There was a mermaid meet and greet that she was so excited about but of course when it was her turn to meet the mermaid she go super super shy and serious! haha

She was OBSESSED with the mermaid costumes and I so badly wanted to buy this $50 outfit for her but resisted! haha

We hit a few exhibits before leaving around 2 and still made it back to Oceanside to hit the beach for a bit :)
