We had a happy Valentine's Day. Spencer and I aren't huge Valentine's Day gift givers but since Spencer isn't eating a lot of sweets lately, he requested a milk frother for his healthy-but-gross-to-me-bone-broth. hahaha! So romantic. (FYI Spencer is really rocking his Keto Diet! And I'm really trying to rock being the supportive wife who cheers him on while eating all of the carbs ;)
Spencer knows that the only thing that I ever want for Valentine's Day is chocolate covered cinnamon bears. One year, he searched all over Davenport the day before Valentine's Day only to realize that they don't exist in Iowa so he ended up shipping them overnight online for a ridiculous high price! haha This year, he looked all over Walmart the day before Valentine's Day, couldn't find them, then decided to order them from Amazon Prime. They arrived two days after Valentine's day and NAKED!!! haha It's a good thing that I loved Spencer more than chocolate covered cinnamon bears because I did not get them this year ;)
He brought home beautiful flowers on Friday as an apology for giving me naked chocolate covered cinnamon bears ;) haha
Jack and David loved making their Valentines for their school parties.
And Jack made this Valentine at school for my mom :) He told me that he loves her the very most :)
My mom flew in the night of Valentine's Day because she got me a ticket to Hamilton for Christmas! It was soooooo amazing!!!!
We tried to take a selfie in the theater but we did not succeed.
Jack's Valentine's Day party was on Friday and he wanted my mom to volunteer instead of me! He was so excited.
Isaac and Elizabeth flew in for the weekend! They watched super hero movies and jumped on the tramp with Isaac and made oobleck with Elizabeth
My mom watched our kids on Friday so that we could go out on a date and on Saturday we all went to Jack's basketball game. My family went to a wedding reception on Saturday night so we walked to the food trucks for dinner that are now less than a mile from our house every Saturday night! It was a fun activity and I think we are going to have to make this a family tradition :) Food trucks are perfect for our picky family because everyone gets what they want :)
I loved my Mediterranean tacos and the SUNSET!!!
We walked home on the canal and it was wonderful, especially for David ;)
It was nice to have someone else for David to "wiggle snuggle" at church :)
More pics from the weekend:
Kate LOVES sliding head first!
Jack and David watched these guys chop down trees for over an hour on Monday!
Swimming during Jack and David's swimming lesson. Kate LOVES swimming.
Kate turned 10 months on the 20th! Now for the Kate photodump:
I can't decide if this bow is cute or goofy but no need to decide, Kate pulls it off within 10 seconds!!!
We got a video monitor for Kate so that we could leave it with the next door neighbors during quick errands (best babysitting exchange ever!) but I love peaking in on her sleeping. Bum in the air sleeping is my favorite.
(Also, sorry this blog really has turned into a long boring journal/place to dump all of my pictures! I've been going for so long I can't stop now!)
