Jack is bigger and smarter but still the same kind, curious, and passionate little boy he was when we sent him to Kindergarten last year. He had a great year in Miss Roy's half day class and met so many sweet friends :) A little over a year ago, I registered him at an all-day kindergarten at a poorly ranked school in Davenport, Iowa. I'm sure he would have done fine at that school, but I feel like moving to Arizona last year was such a gift. He got a great education and I was given the gift of more time with my sweet Jack.
Other things we did this last week:
- We swam! We love that Lifetime Fitness is just down the street! David and Jack are now able to swim outside while I teach my one private swim lesson and they have been loving that! Some days, it's also nice to put Kate in the child watch when we don't have the energy to take her swimming with us :) She's crazy!
- We went to the splash pad with our neighbors! We love these guys and don't know what we are going to do when they move this summer!
These two played "family" almost every morning together this year on the days they didn't have preschool. They are the CUTEST little buddies and I love eavesdropping on their conversations!
- We had our last Kindergarten play date! Every Tuesday, we took turns picking up these cute boys from school and having them all over to play and it was so fun (and crazy!) I kind of weaseled my way into this playgroup at the beginning of the year and I'm so glad I did!
- I took just David (and Kate) out to breakfast after dropping Jack off at school.
- We met up with my aunt and amazing ballerina cousin, Macy, last weekend in Phoenix for her dance convention. I had never seen her dance before, and she was seriously amazing!!! She got 2nd place for her solo dance! We went out to dinner at the La Grande Orange before. I had never been before and it was so yummy!
Here I am trying to be like her ;) hahaha
