Friday Favorites

• Our weather this last week! It's not very often that Iowa is almost twenty degrees warmer than Arizona - especially in December!!!

 

We definitely didn't take it for granted!
 
David has the "lawn mower" figured out... except for the steering! We have to chase him while he rides to make sure he doesn't crash into anything! haha
 

• Our first official Jammy Cocoa Christmas! (inspired by Shay)

 

We had a gift card to Starbucks so we really went to town! Afterwards, we went on the "Davenport Police Senior Light Tour" route (where the police escort buses full of senior citizens one night in December - we definitely went a different day!) and it was awesome! We drove by three light show houses where you tune into the radio to watch and the boys loved it!
 
 

• Our 24 hour pit stop in Arizona on our way to Utah for my brother's wedding! (It was way cheaper flying Allegiant to Arizona then to Utah than flying straight from Iowa to Utah) Yesterday we flew to Arizona and I have to say, while flying solo with kids is one of my least favorite things ever (Spencer is meeting up with us in Utah late tonight so that he can work two more days) this flight wasn't horrible. Ages 2 and 4 are going to be good!

 
Leap frog for Jack and the Ipad for David - I actually read a chapter of my book in the airport! A miracle!
 
 

Paw Patrol magic marker coloring books from Target's dollar spot kept them entertained on the flight for almost an entire hour! The other two hours didn't go as great, but we survived :)
 
Shrimp mango quesadilla and the southwestern shrimp burro from Gecko Grill for dinner last night!
 
I got gel nails for the first time ever for the wedding and I am a fan
 
On the way home from the nail salon we stopped at the new Bosa Donut location (my very favorite donuts ever) for FREE donuts for the grand opening! (The new location is basically across the street from my parents house - dangerous!!!)
 
My favorite almost-two-year-old was exhausted after a day of traveling and playing hard at my parent's house with no nap!
 
I love Arizona
